Practice software for Indian dental clinics · Windows

Clinic software designed at the dental chair, not in a boardroom.

Rapidontics Clinic is built by practising dentists and used every day in a working clinic in Lucknow. It handles the way Indian clinics actually run — patients on WhatsApp, your own rate list, child doses worked out for you, lab crowns that have to be chased, and internet that doesn't always cooperate.

Who designed it

Every screen exists because something went wrong at our own chair first.

Rapidontics Clinic didn't start as a product. It started as the system running our own dental practice in Lucknow — written between patients, by the people treating them.

Most practice software is planned by people who have never had a patient waiting while the front desk hunts for a lab slip. Ours is shaped by the days when that happened to us. When something annoys a dentist using it, it has usually annoyed us first — and the fix goes out to every clinic.

The pain, and what we did about it

Built for the hassles Indian dentists actually have.

Not a hospital system with a tooth chart bolted on, and not a foreign product priced in dollars. These are the problems it was written to solve.

BeforeReminders that never went out, or went out as SMS nobody reads — and a bill for every message.
NowConfirmations, 24-hour reminders, recalls and bills are ready each morning, in English or Hindi. One tap opens your own WhatsApp with the message written. No per-message charge from us.
BeforeA child's dose worked out on a phone calculator between patients, with an adult tablet strength still sitting in the prescription.
NowFor children under 14 the dose is calculated from weight the moment you pick a drug, and the strength and form change with it. An estimated weight is deliberately rounded down; a weighed one is preferred. An adult dose is never shown for a child.
BeforeCrowns lost somewhere between impression and fitting, and an argument with the lab at month-end about what was owed.
NowEvery crown, bridge and denture is tracked from impression to fitting, with a month-by-month ledger of what you owe each lab and what you have paid.
BeforeThe internet goes down and reception stops. Or a subscription lapses and the records vanish behind a login.
NowIt runs on your clinic PC and needs to check in only once a week. If the subscription ends, every record stays readable, searchable and printable — it goes read-only, never dark.
BeforeConsent forms photocopied from a photocopy, in English only, for patients who read Hindi.
NowConsent forms print on your letterhead in English or Hindi, with the patient's details filled in — or the patient signs on your screen at the clinic, or you save a PDF to send on WhatsApp.
BeforeThe rate list lived in one person's head, and every treatment plan was a fresh bit of arithmetic.
NowYour own rate list and custom procedures, quotations in one step, and treatment plans in phases — urgent, disease control, restore, replace and align, maintain — each with an estimate.
Everything in the box

One app for the front desk, the chair and the accounts.

Every feature below is included in the ₹399 subscription. There are no add-on modules and no per-doctor charges.

Front desk

Reception, appointments, reminders
  • Today — who is waiting, what has been collected, and what today's patients still owe.
  • Diary by chair and by doctor — day, week and list views; drag to move; double-booking a chair is refused.
  • Patients — families sharing one phone number are warned about, never blocked.
  • WhatsApp reminders and recalls in English or Hindi, sent from your own number.
  • Broadcasts only to patients who opted in; withdrawing consent pulls anything already queued.

At the chair

Examination, treatment, prescribing
  • Examination on a tooth chart, or for soft tissue, lesions, occlusion and orthodontics — type a finding the way you would say it.
  • Procedure forms — RCT working lengths, pocket depths, surgery and sutures, ortho wires and breakages, crowns, implants, dentures, children's work.
  • Treatment plan in phases with estimates, and visit notes filled from today's chart in one click.
  • Prescriptions on your letterhead with your registration number, a built-in drug list, one-click sets, and warnings for allergies, pregnancy, bleeding disorders and blood thinners.
  • Paediatric dosing by weight for children under 14.
  • Case files — photos and X-ray images on the patient's record — and a case summary for a visiting consultant on WhatsApp.

Money

Quotes, bills, collections, expenses
  • Your own rate list, with custom procedures, and quotations for a whole treatment phase at once.
  • Bills and part-payments, with what is owed always visible.
  • Instalment plans with dated WhatsApp reminders.
  • Concessions kept apart from discounts, so the patient's copy of the bill never disagrees with yours.
  • Day book and a cash drawer counted and closed each evening; expenses by category.
  • Analytics — months and years of the practice at a glance.

Lab work and stock

The things that go missing
  • Lab works register — every prosthetic part from impression to fitting.
  • Lab ledger — what you owe each lab, month by month, with what was actually paid.
  • Warranty cards for your treatment, with the terms fixed on the day they are issued.
  • Stock — what's on the shelf, what's running low and what expires in the next 60 days; oldest stock is used first.

Your data, your PC

Safety without an IT person
  • Records stay on your clinic PC, with an automatic backup to your Rapidontics account about every 20 minutes and when you close the app.
  • New computer? Sign in and restore your latest backup — it is checked before it is used.
  • Staff logins with roles and two-factor sign-in, and an audit trail that never stores patient details.
  • A patient's record can be erased on their request.
  • Other PCs on the clinic network — reception, a second surgery — can join once the owner approves each one. Off until you switch it on.

Set up in five minutes

And it keeps you informed
  • One-time setup — clinic name (and Hindi name), logo, doctors and registration numbers, hours, chairs and your rates.
  • No administrator rights needed to install on Windows 10 or 11.
  • News & notices — National Dental Commission circulars and public notices, the Chairside magazine and the Weekly Dental Digest from DentalSync, inside the app.
  • Update notices with plain-language release notes; your records and settings carry over.
  • Dark theme that follows Windows.

Where others are ahead today

  • Phone and browser access from anywhere. Rapidontics Clinic runs on a Windows PC at the clinic, with other PCs on the clinic network. There is no Mac or mobile app yet.
  • Online booking from a marketplace. Practo Ray connects to Practo.com listings; we don't run a patient marketplace.
  • Several branches under one login. One subscription covers one clinic. Cloud products such as Clinicia and MocDoc offer multi-clinic options.
  • Patient-facing links. Online pay links and a patient portal need a public web address, which a clinic PC doesn't have, so they are off in this edition.

Why we built it this way

  • Many single- and two-chair clinics run from one front-desk PC. Keeping records there means no monthly cloud bill to pass on, and no lost day when the connection drops.
  • WhatsApp is how Indian patients actually reply. Sending from your own number costs you nothing and looks like you, not like a bulk sender.
  • A price that a new graduate opening their first clinic can pay without thinking about it.

Competitor details are taken from each vendor's own public pricing or product page on 4 October 2026 and may have changed since — check with the vendor before you decide. "Not listed" means the feature is not mentioned on that public page, not that the product cannot do it. Product names are trademarks of their owners; Rapidontics Labs is not affiliated with them. Continuously evolving

Six releases since launch. Every one shaped at the chair.

Because we use it in our own clinic every day, we find the rough edges before most users do. Updates are included in the subscription; the app tells you when one is ready and explains what changed in plain words.

1.3.0 News & notices Latest

National Dental Commission circulars and public notices, the Chairside magazine and the Weekly Dental Digest from DentalSync, inside the app. A new NDC notice stays at the top of the screen until someone opens or dismisses it.

1.2.0 Treatment plans, visit notes and stock

Treatment plans in five phases with estimates, quoted a whole phase at a time. Visit notes filled from the day's chart in one click — and never rewritten after the day. Stock with low-stock and 60-day expiry alerts. A clearer patient page and Today screen.

1.1.0 Examination, procedure forms and the clinic network

Tooth chart and soft-tissue findings; RCT, perio, surgery, ortho, crown, implant, denture and paediatric forms; diary by chair and by doctor; other PCs on the clinic network; day book, expenses and instalment plans; a fresher look with a dark theme.

1.0.2 Help, wherever you are in the app

A help and support section inside the app — help centre, WhatsApp support and email — and a move to our own server address.

1.0.1 A fix found at the chair

A prescription for a patient with a chart warning wasn't issuing after "Issue anyway". Fixed within days of launch.

1.0.0 First release · September 2026

Patients, diary, WhatsApp reminders, quotations, consent forms in English and Hindi, bills, prescriptions with child-dose calculation, recalls, lab works, warranties, money, analytics and automatic backup.

Do I need to be good with computers?

No. Setup asks for your clinic name, logo, doctors and rates, and takes about five minutes. It installs without administrator rights, and backups run on their own.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Nothing changes at the front desk — the software runs on your PC. It needs to reach our server at least once every 7 days to check the subscription and send backups.

Can reception use a different computer?

Yes. Switch on clinic-network access on the main PC, then approve each other PC once with a six-letter code. Staff still sign in with their own logins.

Is my patients' data safe?

Records stay on your PC. Backups go to your own Rapidontics account over an encrypted connection, and our server keeps the last 30. The audit trail never stores names or phone numbers.

What if I don't renew?

Your records don't disappear. The software goes read-only: you can still open, search and print everything, and renew whenever you like.

Who is responsible for a child's dose?

You are, as the prescribing dentist — always. The calculation is a carefully reviewed aid, not a replacement for your judgement. You can switch it off, or sign the dose table off under your own registration number, in Clinic settings.
